You do not have a reward card but you do get rewarded with RRs
What's an RR?
RRs are Register Rewards. They are Walgreen "dollars" that print at the register when you buy participating products. We say they are "Walgreens dollars" because that is the easiest way to describe them as they can only be used at Walgreens. What they are is a Manufacturer Coupon or a type of Catalina Coupon, but they do not follow any of the regular rules of a MQ, because you can use them on any item! It's confusing I know but bare with us... what you need to know is that if you have a MQ for every item you are buying and you have a RR to use you need a "filler" item to put that RR on because after all it's an MQ and you can not use 2 MQs on one item. Use a .25c lollipop stick as a "filler" item so the RR can go through .
Earning & Using RRs can be tricky
SAME: If you want to buy 2 of the same items, giving you 2 of the same RRs you have to do 2 separate transactions. And then you CANNOT use the RR from the first to buy the second and expect the same RR to print.
*Tip: This can get confusing, so our suggestion would be to just roll (save) your RRs over to the next week.
DIFFERENT: You can however buy 2 different items in the same transaction giving you 2 different RRs.
Rainchecks won't work for RRs
If the store is out of an item you intended to buy and earn a RR for a raincheck will not work once the week's sale ends!
*Tip: Check out in the beauty department. There aren't any lines and you won't feel pressured. (They need to make a sale every 15 minutes on that register anyway so they shouldn't mind). While you are over there ask them for a Walgreen's Beauty Booklet (full of make-up and other beauty SQs)!
Other things to know:
in-ad coupon = (Walgreens has coupons in their weekly ad flyer to use)
monthly coupon booklet = (Walgreens puts out a monthly coupon booklet -usually right in the front of the store buy the weekly ad)
Infant Care Booklet = for some reason it seems to be very hard to find, ask for it in the pharmacy and you may score yourself one! When you use the coupons in the booklet they do not expire until December and you DO NOT need to give them up at most Walgreens!
