First thing you need is a free Extra Care Card (reward card that attaches to your keys). Use it EVERY time you shop!
*Tip: Swipe your card at the red Coupon Center kiosk before you shop, it will often reward you with coupons and/or ECBs!
What's an ECB?
ECBs are Extra Care Bucks. They are CVS dollars that you earn by purchasing participating products (much like RRs at Walgreens). One major difference between ECBS and RRs is that these are not MQs, which means you do not need the filler item as describe under Walgreens. Another difference is that when earning ECBs there are often limits of one or two that can be earned. Make sure you pay attention to this when planning your shopping trip!
Green Bag Tag
Buy a Green Bag Tag for .99c and attach it to any reusable bag. Each time you check out have the cashier swipe it. After 4 swipes you earn $1 ECB, and from then on every 4 swipes earns you another $1 ECB! Easiest way to make a buck!
Need More
In the CVS ad you may notice a deal where if you buy $20 worth of products you'll earn $10 ECB, but the problem is when you get to the store there is only a few of the items you intended to buy left on the shelf... don't worry buy what you can and then either try another CVS or try back at that store later in the week. Because you have a reward card it will keep track of what you need to finish that deal (look a t bottom of receipt). When you pick up the final items your ECB will print. Just MAKE SURE to finish the deal before the sale week ends!!!!
